Co-founder of Our Town Story. If you have any questions about the site, or wish to provide feedback, please visit the Admin forum and post in the appropriate place - we'll do our best to help you out as quickly as we can!

We really want Our Town Story to be an album for your old photos, to fill in the gaps in the history books of our villages, towns and cities. We would also love for those pictures to be able to help others - for instance by using reminiscence therapy in treating dementia

We're still a work in progress, and we appreciate all suggestions and observations!

I've not come across this name in Wimborne before, and can't place this shop...

I feel pretty sure that the Halletts shop is in East Street, where the Minster Cobbler shop now is, and also including the small shop next door that is currently empty, but was recently a coffee bar.

There are several reasons for thinking this: most compelling are the arrangement of gutters and drain pipes that remain the same; also the bay window, just in sight at the top of the picture; and the way the shop is set back from the one next door.

Can I claim my prize?  What do you mean, there isn't one?  Outrageous!

I think you're absolutely right. Correct - there is no prize, but think how good you feel now...!

I've tried to crop this the same - I think it's fairly conclusive!
