We really want Our Town Story to be an album for your old photos, to fill in the gaps in the history books of our villages, towns and cities. We would also love for those pictures to be able to help others - for instance by using reminiscence therapy in treating dementia .
We're still a work in progress, and we appreciate all suggestions and observations!

This image shows the chapel used by the Methodist congregation in Wimborne prior the the construction of the premises in King Street. According to the Wimborne Methodist Church website:
"By 1820 the Methodists had outgrown their premises in West Borough and a purpose-built chapel called 'Ebenezer' was erected in the Corn Market, mainly due to the generosity of Joseph Sims and his brother-in-law John Meatyard, who sadly did not live to see the building completed. The Society went from strength to strength, membership in 1828 was 54, in 1836 80+ and by 1849 had reached about 100 when Wimborne became head of a circuit of 12 chapels with 350 members."
