About
Co-founder of Our Town Story. If you have any questions about the site, or wish to provide feedback, please visit the Admin forum and post in the appropriate place - we'll do our best to help you out as quickly as we can!
We really want Our Town Story to be an album for your old photos, to fill in the gaps in the history books of our villages, towns and cities. We would also love for those pictures to be able to help others - for instance by using reminiscence therapy in treating dementia .
We're still a work in progress, and we appreciate all suggestions and observations!

Image Details
This ice cream seller stands with his 'Stop Me & Buy One' pedal trike outside a very distinctive-looking church.
It appears to be taken from a car (you can see the open door at the bottom of the picture), and the lettering on the side of the trike seems to read:
"U N I C
PURE ICE CREAM"
with what could be some prices visible underneath.
Do you recognise the church, or perhaps you could date the car? What does 'UNIC' stand for? All thoughts welcome below; you can sign in using your Facebook login, or join Our Town Story as a member!

Found! It is St. Mildred's Church in Whippingham, on the Isle of Wight. Near Osborne House, the church was apparently influenced in its design by Prince Albert.
Now.....who's the ice cream seller.....?
