We really want Our Town Story to be an album for your old photos, to fill in the gaps in the history books of our villages, towns and cities. We would also love for those pictures to be able to help others - for instance by using reminiscence therapy in treating dementia .
We're still a work in progress, and we appreciate all suggestions and observations!

This image is contemporaneous with the opening of the hospital in Steelhouse Lane - it is still in use today, as Birmingham Children's Hospital. The fundamental structure of the hospital is still very recognisable, but there has been considerable addition and alteration over the years.

It's easier to list what hasn't changed, rather than what has, so much has been adapted! The towers remain the key feature of the building.
