We really want Our Town Story to be an album for your old photos, to fill in the gaps in the history books of our villages, towns and cities. We would also love for those pictures to be able to help others - for instance by using reminiscence therapy in treating dementia

We're still a work in progress, and we appreciate all suggestions and observations!

Image Details

Looking towards Leigh Road, with the currently empty Tappers building on the left.

The "Wimborne Seed Warehouse" is visible on the corner, with J Stevenson's name over the door. The buildings on the right were replaced by the Pearl Assurance buildings, and what's now the mobility scooter shop. I remember it as White & Bestwick's hardware shop - and I can still rmemeber the smell as if it was yesterday!

Hint: Drag the orange pegman to see the Streetview image...
