We really want Our Town Story to be an album for your old photos, to fill in the gaps in the history books of our villages, towns and cities. We would also love for those pictures to be able to help others - for instance by using reminiscence therapy in treating dementia .
We're still a work in progress, and we appreciate all suggestions and observations!

The images in this album are from a 1900 book entitled 'Old Cottages and Farm Houses in Kent and Sussex'. According to the book, the images are those of an architect and amateur photographer, and it is likely that the subjects of many of these images are the only record of the buildings themselves.
There is little information on the actual locations of the images, so many of the map locations are approximate. The image titles are as they appear in the book. If you are able to identify any of the locations more precisely, please do leave a comment below, and we'll happily update the info.
